Educating the Next Generation

Without good education, children in Uganda are condemned to a life of poverty with no opportunity to contribute within society or to support themselves.

At Kairos Schools, we are passionate about providing quality, affordable education to all children, but particularly to those who are materially disadvantaged within society. Every child has the opportunity to realise their potential through the many subjects offered within our Schools. We are training the leaders of tomorrow, building faith, character and integrity and giving them the confidence to illuminate the next generation with God’s love. As funding allows, we support many of the poorer children within the community with a bursary. The schools presently operate a busrary support scheme for those in greatest need.

Kairos Schools, Bukasa, Muyenga provides education at the highest level for children from Nursery to Senior 6, offering facilities for both day and boarding pupils/students. We have a Christian Rector and a Christian mentor on our staff who oversee the development of both children and teaching staff. There is an active Christian Union and we normally baptise over 40 pupils/students each year.

The School motto is “Jesus is the way, the truth and the life” and the team core values are “Faith, Simplicity, Excellence, Brokenness, Teamwork and Commitment”. The children’s values include “Responsibility, Honesty, Understanding, Acceptance, Respect, Joy and Courage”, they are encouraged to be the best that they can be developing to their true potential.

Some of our former students are now teachers, secretaries, laboratory technicians, entrepreneurs, community workers, nurses and doctors, contributing to society because of the education received at Kairos Schools.

Kairos is the Greek for “now is the opportunity to serve”  encapsulating our desire to provide a quality Christian education for children and young people as they express God’s love.
