The teachers and staff at Kairos Schools desire to bring hope to the hopeless by working with the materially disadvantaged and those from the poorer parts of the community providing good quality education available to the communities surrounding the schools.
Kairos is the Greek for “now is the opportunity to serve” which encapsulates our desire to provide a quality Christian education for children and young people as they express God’s love.
Kairos Schools Motto is “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life …” John 14:6 .
Our Vision is to provide affordable education to the young people who will illuminate the next generation with God’s love.
The plastering of the school exterior of the both Schools was completed in January 2016 greatly improving the look of the building.
Many of the classrooms have now been tiled providing vastly improved learning conditions there are still a few requiring completion and we would value your prayers for the provision of funding to enable this work to be completed.
Kairos Nursery & Primary School has the capacity to educate up to 500 pupils each year and Kairos High School educates up to 450 students to A level specialising in Music, Drama and Science at Muyenga, Kampala.
Kairos Nursery and Primary school started in the Kampala Church, Namuwongo in 1999 with 35 pupils and with God’s grace now occupies an impressive four story school building in Bukasa, Muyenga. Over the last few years the results for the P7 Primary Leaving Exams place the school in the top 2% of schools nationally and in the top five within the Kampala region.
Kairos High School started in 2008 in the adjoining three-story building. Despite the schools still being under construction both are Examination Centres. The examination performance continues to improve with the results for both “O”level and “A”level examinations placing the High School in the upper quartile nationally.
Kasambya school was started by the local LMCC church under the direction of the Muyenga school in 2005 and now educates over 230 village children from Nursery to Primary seven. They are a fully licensed school providing education from Nursery to P7.
The new Kairos Nursery and Primary School in Musenyi, Rwanda was opened in April 2013 and is now fully licensed. It serves children from a large area within the UNHCR camp. The school originally started in the local LMCC church and grew rapidly as a result of the great need and good teaching standards. They now educate 500 pupils each year from P1 to P6.
In addition to the schools listed many of our rural churches run their own Primary Schools supported by Kairos Schools in Muyenga, Kampala.
